Technology Department
During the summer of 2019, the technology department merged systems from Greenwood Public and Leflore County School Districts to form Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District. The mission of the district is to unify, educate, and prepare all students for college and career by providing a high-quality learning experience.

To support the mission, the technology department strives to keep our technology up-to-date and in good working condition. Physical inventory is taken regularly to ensure technology-related equipment is fully functional. All physical infrastructure needs are identified by technology personnel and are addressed in a timely manner. Cabling, wireless access points, projectors, interactive whiteboards, and other instructional aides are added or moved as needed to meet student, teacher, and administrative needs.
We believe the effective use of technology will enhance the quality of teaching and positively impact the learning process assisting students in their quest to become proficient in reading, writing, mathematics, and critical thinking.

On February 18, 2019, the consolidated district was awarded the T-Mobile EmpowerED Award in the amount of $1,330,320. Funding was used to purchase chromebooks and internet hotspots for all students in the district accomplishing its goal of being
